Best Sales Training Program
For the third year in a row Motivforce has struck gold at the 2017 Brandon Hall Excellence Awards with its Know Your IBM channel incentive program, winning the Gold Award for Best Sales Training Program for Extended Enterprise and Gold Award for Best Unique or Innovative Sales Training Program.
Best Results of a Learning Program
In addition, Know Your IBM received a Silver Award for Best Results of a Learning Program; and Bronze for Best Advance in Creating an Extended Enterprise Learning Program.
Now entering its 23rd year, the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program is the most prestigious awards program in the industry. Often called the “Academy Awards” by Learning, Talent and Business Executives, the program was one of the first of its kind in the learning industry, which was pioneered in 1994.
The Excellence Awards recognize the best organizations that have successfully deployed programs, strategies, modalities, processes, systems, and tools that have achieved measurable results. The program attracts entrants from leading corporations around the world, as well as mid-market and smaller firms.
The award entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives based upon the following criteria: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation, and overall measurable benefits.
The Know Your IBM Program
The global Know Your IBM program, created and managed by Motivforce, is the primary B2B learning initiative targeting IBM Business Partner participants with loyalty rewards for undertaking voluntary product training modules and deeper certification, in order to increase their knowledge about IBM products and services. The focus of KYI in 2016 was purely learning based in order to ensure channel partners in 131 countries were as technically proficient as possible in selling complex high-end server solutions. The objective was that these channel partners would gain a competitive edge when selling to their end clients, ultimately generating revenue and growing market share for IBM.
The 2016 KYI program was also given a major refresh including a cleaner look and feel to the KYI portal with new easy-navigation features; enhanced user dashboard and scorecards showing the user’s educational journey.
Gamification and E-Learning
The program continued to fuse innovative gamification techniques with e-learning to drive program engagement, refresh participants’ educational development and encourage knowledge retention. For example, the KYI online Soccer 6 Penalty Shootout game delivered exceptional results.
Record statistics for engagement
KYI participants were encouraged to take seven quick learn modules via the KYI Portal, which would give them the chance to compete online in the Soccer 6 game. Bonus points were given for completing the eligible courses as well as scoring and saving goals. The Soccer 6 learning game achieved record statistics for engagement with 90% of KYI members voluntarily undertaking the modules associated with the game, making it the most popular and effective module series to date.
Highest sales conversion rate
Further, there was a 30% correlation of sales of the featured product (Spectrum Storage) contained on the quarterly sales out reports and the KYI participants who had completed the modules. This was the highest sales conversion rate achieved by participants in a quarter following the deployment of a KYI module.
